Welcome to the new Eisteddfod by the Bay!
Formerly Mordialloc Eisteddfod (Est. 1955)
After commencing 54 years ago as the Mordialloc Methodist Eisteddfod, then the Mordialloc Eisteddfod, the Eisteddfod by the Bay has emerged in 2009 with a new name and format! We are very pleased to offer you the same sections for competition this year in Speech, Choral, Junior Vocal, Senior Vocal and Pianoforte at top recognisable venues and with acknowledged adjudicators. Our dance competition is taking an important hiatus this year, to enable us to make the necessary plans for reimplementation in 2010. You will also notice that we have gone on line! The Eisteddfod by the Bay website is now up and running, with all relevant information about venues, rules, closing dates, entry fees and performance session times. Entry forms can also be downloaded. Please enter as many sections and disciplines as you would like.
The aim of the Eisteddfod by the Bay is to provide a nurturing environment in which the competitor can perform to the very best of their abilities. The committee and volunteer base is small but very loyal to the aims and commitments of the Eisteddfod by the Bay. Any offers of assistance by teachers, parents or competitors in any form are accepted. Please take time to recognise our sponsors. Through their financial commitment, the Eisteddfod by the Bay is able to continue to provide an important opportunity for those participating in the performing arts in the bayside community.
We hope the Eisteddfod by the Bay will continue to be one of the major contributors and promoters of the performing arts in Melbourne. We wish you well in the competition and hope you achieve your very best.
